Natural Mosquito Repellent
Natural Mosquito Repellents for Summer
Now that the summer months are here, so are all the bugs and MOSQUITO'S!! Nothing is more bothersome than trying to enjoy an evening outdoors with your family, while being bitten every other minute by these little pests. I know most of you are known to the idea that CHEMICALS ARE TOXIC! So my advice is, " if you cannot consume what you put on your skin (lotions, sunscreen, bug repellent ) then you should not use it". Our skin is our largest organ in (on) our body, and what you put on your skin is absorbed into your blood stream. Next time you think about spraying on Mosquito, please read what the bottle contains, you may be shocked!
Here are some healthy, safe alternatives for Mosquito Repellents to spray on your skin.
It's very easy to make your own natural mosquito repellent. These natural products will effectively repel mosquitoes, but they require more frequent reapplication (at least every 2 hours) and higher concentrations than DEET. Because of the differences between types of mosquitoes, products that contain multiple repellents tend to be more effective than those containing a single ingredient. As you can see, natural repellents tend to be volatile plant oils.
